Pattern: Half circle woman's cloak from Tidings From the 18th Century by Beth Gilgun, p. 65.
Size: One size fits all.
Fabric: Black wool coating - washed once to full it slightly.
Hood lining: Black silk dupioni.
Notes:
The pattern made a cloak that was 42 inches long before hemming, but with the width of my fabric, I could cut a cloak that was 45 inches long before hemming. I made five box pleats in the neckline of the cloak before attaching it to the bottom of the hood rather than gather it as the instructions said.
With all the dog and cat hair around here, trying to keep the cloak relatively hair free is an exercise in futility. I should never have bought plain black wool coating. A tweed would have been better. Meh.
